Kathryn Shea Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on May 7, 2025.
Kathryn Shea age 68, of Dallas, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2025. Born September 9, 1956, in Dallas to Patrick and Barbara Shea, Kathryn graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas and earned an Associate's degree from Texas Tech.
She married Scott Huddle and although they did not remain together, they raised their children Jim and Kristina. Kathryn balanced motherhood with a career in mortgage banking. Despite being diagnosed with childhood diabetes and facing significant health challenges, Kathryn lived with remarkable strength. Some referred to her as a " walking miracle." In her late 40s, she retired due to health complications and spent the next 20+ years cherishing time with her family, especially her nine grandchildren.
Later in life, Kathryn married Charles L. "Chuck" Chapman, her best friend and devoted caretaker.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Chuck; her daughter, Kristina La Torre(Luis); her son, Jim Huddleston(Nikki); her sister, Lisa Shea; her brothers, Tim Shea (Karen) and Kevin Shea(Peggy); and her grandchildren: Kayda, Lily, and Sebastian La Torre; and Kaylie, Scott, Nate, Jenna, Addie, and Riley Huddleston, as well as her dog, Zoey.
Kathryn will be remembered for her resilience, her love for her children and grandchildren, and the joy she found in her family.
