Kathryn ReNee Smith

Kathryn ReNee Smith passed away peacefully July 13, 2025 at the Legacy House of Logan, Utah.

She was born May 7, 1938 in Brigham City, Utah to Ned Craner Marble and Alice Deloris Nelson. Her family lived in Corrine, Utah where she attended Corrine Elementary School and then Box Elder Jr. High and High School.

ReNee met and married Joseph Boyd Smith from Paradise, Utah on August 6, 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Brigham City for a short time until moving to Avon then settling in Paradise, Utah where they spent their lives working and raising their three children.

ReNee worked at the Woolsworth store in Logan, Utah, White’s Trout Farm in Paradise, and Scheiber Food in Logan where she retired after 26 years. She also worked at Lower Foods in Richmond Utah for a short time.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved to sew, crochet, and making crafts.

ReNee never met a stranger, because she loved people and her dogs. Her favorite thing was a houseful of family, friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Boyd Smith, a precious baby daughter Sherrie Jo Smith, her parents, and two brothers Duane and Reese Marble.

She is Survived by her sister Janice (Curtis) Olsen of Paradise UT. Irene (Dennis) Fredrickson of Logan UT, a son Charles R (Lori) Smith of Thatcher ID, and daughters Jody (Bruce) Smith of Paradise, UT and Marla Smith of Logan. 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Paradise 1st and 4th ward Chapel the evening of July 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Thursday July 17th from 9:30 - 10:30 am. With a graveside service at 11:00 am at Paradise Cemetery.
