Kathy Adams, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 19, 1953, Kathy was a lifelong resident of Cumming, Georgia, where she built a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

A faithful member of New Life Baptist Church of Dawsonville, and proud Baptist, Kathy lived her life as a reflection of her faith—kind, generous, and always ready to serve others. Her door was always open, her heart always full, and her home a place of warmth and welcome. She was a caregiver in every sense of the word—a second mother to many beyond her own children. Her family remembers her as deeply loving, endlessly compassionate, and someone who consistently put others before herself.

Kathy was most proud of her role as a grandmother. Nothing brought her more joy than the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy Adams; her children, Lillie Garner (Tracy), Johnny Nichelson (Liz), Michelle Wood (Shawn), Stephanie Rodriguez (Alex), and Stacy Chambers; her siblings, Robin Stanton (Johnny), Lisa Christopher, Grady Christopher (Rachel), and Jackie Christopher (Shelia); 22 cherished grandchildren and 15 precious great-grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, John Walter Christopher; her mother, Lillie Mae Christopher Stone; her son, Kenneth Chambers; her sister, Clara Jane Christopher; her brother, Anthony Christopher; and her granddaughter, Brittany Walker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, with Rev. Scott Christopher officiating and a eulogy delivered by her daughter, Stephanie Rodriguez. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, July 1, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Kathy Adams kindly requests that you consider making a contribution to help with the cost of funeral expenses.
