Kathy Braatz Obituary
Kathy opened KC's Driving School in 1986 and was one of the first female driving school owners in Wisconsin, if not the first. She will be remembered in the community for teaching countless teens to drive during her 35+ year career as an instructor.
Kathy was well known for her love of dogs, especially rescued border collies. She enjoyed watching horror movies and had an impressive collection. She also loved collecting antiques and filled her home with her many treasures. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and hosting family gatherings whenever she could.
She is survived by her husband Philip Braatz of 33 years; children George Peaslee, Georgia Pirkel, Anthony (Kellie) Phillips, and Timothy (Wendy) Phillips; step-children Peter (Doug Grim) Braatz and Tim (Sue) Braatz; brother Danny (Bonnie) Fogg; grandchildren Joshua Peaslee, Jennifer Peaslee, Stephanie Hellenbrand, Kyle Pirkel, SammiJo O'Donahue, Kaylie Guderian, Aaron Phillips, Caleb Ortiz, Jarett Phillips, Chloe Braatz, Lindsey Braatz, Abby Braatz, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family is holding a private funeral service at a later date.
Donations in her honor can be made to the Watertown SPCA or any animal-related charity you choose.
