Kathy Burns Obituary
She was born on December 26, 1972, in New Hartford a daughter of John and Joyce Burns and graduated from New Hartford High School the class of 1990. Kathy worked at various places including JAY-K Lumber, Hartford Queen Diner, Skenandoa Golf Club, Utica Curling Club and New Hartford American Legion.
Kathy was a member of New Hartford American Legion, where her father was a lifetime member. Kathy cherished her time vacationing with her fiancé, Dave in Myrtle Beach and Cancun.
She is survived by her fiancé David Schroeder; sisters, Susan (Robert) Burns, Joanne Burns, Anne (Dr. Edward) Garvin; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Izzy, RJ, Cooper, Murphy and Finnigan. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, John and Joyce Burns and a brother in law, Roger Prentice.
The funeral will be on Sunday, November 12, at 4:00 pm at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Dorothy Acquaviva. So so sorry for your loss. I loved her. She would come in the New Hartford Legion at times and would go up to my husband Jim. People used to say he didn´t laugh much, but she always made him laugh. She is probably making Jim laugh in Heaven right now. RIP sweetheart.
