Kathy Cucco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center on Mar. 9, 2026.
Katherine "Kathy" Cucco, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Lorain, Ohio, after a brief illness. She was born on November 17, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kathy had a deep love for life and lived it with energy, humor, and determination. She was an active member of her community and especially enjoyed playing darts in a local league, playing cards with family and friends, tending to her flower garden, reading a good mystery novel, and watching sports. She found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful connections with the people around her.

She retired from Ceva Logistics in 2005 and also spent many years working as a bartender at McGarvey's and Chez François, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many.

Kathy spent most of her adult life in Vermilion, Ohio, a place she loved dearly. There she found her greatest peace socializing with friends and watching the sunsets over her beloved Lake Erie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter J. Suleski; her mother, Ann Suleski; her brother, Paul Suleski; sister-in-law, Donna Suleski and her beloved rescue dog, Bindi.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Kate Cucco and Anthony Quebodeaux, granddaughter Allie; brother Peter F. Suleski, nephews Kurt (Becki) Suleski, Mark Suleski and niece Rene'(Richard) Gerasch of Minnesota. Survived also many cousins and her sister by choice Marie Schweinberg

Kathy's legacy of humor, perseverance, and strength will be carried forward by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life remains an inspiration and a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit filled with curiosity and resilience.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 12-3 PM with a prayer service at 2 PM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001.
