A memorial service will be held for Kathy Dillard on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Little Hope Baptist Church, 3257 VZ CR 4106, Canton, Texas 75103, with pastor James Nickell officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 and the service begins at 2:00.
Judith Katherine "Kathy" Norrell Dillard was born March 3, 1968, in Dallas, Texas. She was a recent resident of Tyler but had spent most of her life in Edgewood. She was in the Edgewood High School class of 1986, and a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church. She loved to study her Bible and express her faith in and dependence upon God. Kathy was a stay-at-home mom and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed attending their sporting events.
Kathy passed away at the age of 57 on March 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dillard; daughter, Brittany Dillard; mother, Judith Behnken; grandparents, J.W. Norrell and J.D. & Christine Phillips; mother-in-law, Elneita Dillard; and brothers-in-law, Laroy Dillard and Brad Thompson.
She is survived by her children, Genea Johnson (Kaylan) of Conroe, Trey Dillard (Ebony) of Edgewood, Jordan Dillard (Stella) of North Carolina, Geno Dillard (Anna) of Grand Saline, A.J. Dillard (Brittany) of San Jacinto, Kenyon Dillard of Terrell, and Kirk Dillard of Japan.
She also leaves behind her father and stepmother, Bill & Mona Norrell of Tyler; stepfather, Richard Behnken of Edgewood; father-in-law, Lonnie Dillard of Edgewood; grandmother, Mary Norrell of Canton; siblings, Phillip Norrell of Tyler, Crissy Spradley (Joe) of Chandler, Kay Parks of Chandler, and Jessica Whatley (Christopher) of Kaufman; stepbrothers, Jeff Noble (Jennifer) of Henderson and Kirk Noble (Priscilla) of Winnsboro; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Larion & Amy Dillard, Latoria Thompson, and Patti Dillard;
She was a wonderful grandmother to Brooklynne, Rynan, Bella, Anaya, Ollie, Ellie, Carson, J.C, Xavier, Clara, Viola, Ariel, and Aryana; "sister-friend" to Sue Harber; and also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
