In Loving Memory of Kathy Lee Ellison
September 29, 1954 – October 1, 2025
Kathy Lee Ellison of Mason, Ohio, passed away after an illness on October 1, 2025, at University of Cincinnati Hospital.
She was born in Clarksburg, West Virgina to Eloise Musser Ellison and James Robert Ellison and attended jr. high in Charleston, West Virginia. The family moved to Pittsburgh, and she graduated from high school in Pittsburgh. Drawn by the ocean and memories of family vacations, Kathy moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she loved living near the beach—though not the sand! Kathy especially enjoyed the “new” Hurricane Parties, but she always enjoyed a party!
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Tara) Foflygen and children Dylan, Parker and Raegan and daughter, Paige Hardwick. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Jerry) Kranak, her brother Robert (Theresa) Ellison, and nieces Kelly (Michael) Wang, Lauren (Michael) Slack and Jamie (Matthew) Brewer.
Kathy moved to Mason to be closer to her beloved mother, Eloise Ellison, whose passing in 2017 left a profound void in her life. Known for her discerning palate and remarkable memory, Kathy’s love for the Pittsburgh Steelers remained a joyful constant in her life.
