Funeral services will be 10:30am, Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kathy's grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Skylar Jenkins, Jason Mohr, Kaden Mohr, Conner Voss, Justin Goens and Eric Lindgren.
Kathy Lee Goens was born July 20, 1954, to Delmar Amos and Joyce Maxine (Madson) Lindgren in Waverly, South Dakota. She grew up with seven siblings on the family farm near Waverly. Kathy graduated from Waverly High School in 1974.
Kathy was employed at Castlewood Assisted Living and Estelline Nursing Home and then retired in 2021.
She loved spending time with family and friends and playing cards with her friend, Renae Platz. In June, Kathy had great fun spending a week in Mexico with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. All of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her.
Kathy is survived by her children, Scott (Leah) Mohr of Watertown, SD, Dawn (Nathan) Gertsema of Watertown, SD and Tracy (Josh) Freese of Watertown, SD; nineteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Butch Lindgren of Watertown, SD, Roxanne (Donnie) Smith of Gettysberg, SD, Kirk (Julie) Lindgren of Sioux Falls, SD and Clint (Kelly) Lindgren of Eureka, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Gary Lindgren, Jim Lindgren, Jeff Lindgren and Susan Parish.
