Kathy Lynn Griffith

Kathy Lynn Griffith, 69, passed away on March 28, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1955, in Newton, Texas.
Kathy dedicated 16 years as a nurse working at Deaconess Mt. Pleasant. Her commitment to caring for others was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on all those she tended to. She was a proud founder and advocate of Hope Pregnancy Center in Mt. Carmel, IL.
She served on her church board at Trinity United Methodist.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kathy cherished her role as a grandmother, finding profound joy and fulfillment in the presence of her beloved grandchildren.
An adventurer at heart, Kathy found great delight in exploring new destinations. Among her travels, Key West held a special place in her heart. She loved to just jump in her car and go. Kathy's green thumb was evident in the vibrant beauty of her garden, a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Kathy's presence brought warmth and light into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her loved ones.
Kathy is survived by children Stacy (Reid) Selby and Clayton Paschke; grandchildren Evelynn "Evie" Selby, Holly Paschke, Lainie Paschke, Carly Robinson; sister Susan (James) Phillips and their son Trenton Woods; numerous extended family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Willard Oxley and mother Earline Lecourias and step-father Pete Lecourias.
Celebration of Life service at Trinity United Methodist in Mt. Carmel, IL on April 13 starting at 11:00 am.
