Kathy Kee, 65, of Columbus, GA passed away on May 6, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. Born on October 21, 1959, Kathy grew up in Columbus, where she became known for her kindness, dedication, and love for her family.
Kathy, a devoted wife and mother, is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gerry Kee and son, Dustin Kee who cherishes the memories of his mother’s unwavering support and nurturing spirit. Together, they nurtured their family and created a warm home that was filled with laughter and love.
Kathy had a distinguished career that began at Coca Cola, where she worked from 1977 to 1984. Later in her career, she retired from Brasfield & Gorrie, serving as an office manager and contributing to the company’s success through her organizational skills and friendly demeanor.
Kathy was not only committed to her professional life but also actively involved in her community. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life and her relationships with others.
In her personal time, Kathy enjoyed various hobbies that brought her joy and fulfillment. She loved to cook, often exploring new recipes from her extensive collection of cookbooks. Gardening was another passion of hers, as she found peace in tending to her plants and cultivating a beautiful outdoor space.
Kathy's life was marked not only by her achievements and interests but also by the deep love that she shared with those around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Bridges Spradlen; her father, James Arnold Spradlen; her son, Bradley Scott Kee; and her brother, James Arnold Spradlen, Jr. These losses touched her life profoundly, and her memory will be held dear by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on May 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. Kathy Kee’s legacy will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she has influenced throughout her journey. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
