Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:15 am Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Holy Spirit Parish - Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish - Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Jeff Frieden as the Celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.
Kathy was born December 20, 1948, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Lester and Jeanne Pregler Bender. On May 19, 1972, she married Lynn Allen Kueter at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth. He passed away on July 28, 2009.
She was a 1966 graduate of West Dubuque High School in Epworth.
Kathy had worked as a bank teller at American Trust and Key City Bank and Trust. She also worked in Community Relations at Finley Hospital and at Joe Buccheit - State Farm.
She was a member of Holy Spirit - Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed having lunch with friends, taking walks with her dog, Manny, attending car shows, and keeping a tidy home. Most of all she cherished being a mom.
Survivors include one son, Brad Kueter of Dubuque; two brothers, James (Kathy) Bender of Rockford, MI, and Timothy Bender of Dubuque; five sisters, Barbara (Duane) Winter of Peosta, IA, Judith (Tom Hilby) Kenkel of East Dubuque, IL, Mary Beth (Brad) Ledbetter and Suzanne (Dave) Stewart, both of Marion, NC, and Michelle Bender of Anthem, AZ.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
The family thanks the staff at Oak Park Place and Hawkeye Care Center for their special care through the last few years.
