Kathy was born on 11-24-1937 in Condon Oregon, she was the first-born daughter, of Harry and Lucile Vertrees. She was known by many names, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend.
Kathy worked in many different fields throughout her very long lifetime. She owned her own knitting and craft shop in southern California that was known as Kathy's Kreations. She also held multiple administrative office positions and was a school bus driver for handicapped children. Her all-time favorite job after retirement was driving for Gilliam County Special Transportation.
Kathy was a local Red Hatter and enjoyed their excursions more than anything. Her absolute favorite trip was to Bickleton to ride the antique carousel.
Kathy is survived by her sister Jeanne Lovell, (5) children- Wayne Havins, Sharleen Peschel, Rodney Garrison, Lenny Havins and Tai Hegenbart, 9 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren, 2 nieces a nephew, and a son in law. She also had multiple faux grandchildren and family of love.
A Celebration of life service will be held at the Condon Baptist Church on Sunday, December 21 at 3:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
Memorial donations could be made in Kathy Langan's name to Gilliam County Special Transportation.
