Kathy was always working for Rocklin. I met Kathy when I first moved to Rocklin in 1989 when she was President of the Friends of the Library. I clearly remember that on one occasion we ran into each other at Sunrise Mall as plans were being formulated for the Centenmial Celebration. Before our conversation concluded I found that I agreed to organize the dinners to be held at Finn Hall for the celebration! Kathy was a delight to work with. Her effervescent personality permeated everything in her life. Rocklin is fortunate indeed to have had the benefit of her energy and accomplishments.

My deepest condolences to your family during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory, because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15.

We had just retired from the Air Force and moved to Rocklin in 1989, as Mayor Kathy was serving her growing community. Our involvement in Scouting and as the local LDS Stake Public Affairs Director provided numerous contacts with her and we were always impressed by her energy and dedication to Rocklin and the area. She will be missed and remembered by many who served with her, and those she served. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her loving family.

I sincere sympathies to Kathy's family. I had known her for many years and even taught one of her sons many years ago. As she retired I was able to thank her for her community service, and especially for all the wonderful parks in Rocklin. She has left her legacy in Rocklin and within many hearts.

To Jerry and the Lund Family, please accept my condolences. I hope you will take comfort in the many accomplishments of your mother. So many have left their permanent mark on our county and its cities, especially Rocklin. And they define so much of what we value in our unique quality of life. She was a great friend and mentor and will be missed.

We have been friends with Kathy for nearly forty years, and many of our fond memories of scouts, soccer, Roseville High football, and going places with our families will stay with us forever. We are heartbroken to lose Kathy, but are so very grateful for our very special and treasured friendship.

I had the privilege of working with Kathy in her long tenure at the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency Board, and got to see up close her commitment to public service and devotion to her family. Kathy's efforts are a major reason for the quality of life that makes Rocklin such a wonderful place - her spearheading the improvements to the I-80/Sierra College Blvd interchange is just one example. She was not just a smart and practical leader, but also a supportive mentor to me, and I will miss her deeply.

I worked with Kathy at Channel 13 back in the mid '60s (that's 1960-lol). She must have been not yet 20. Over the years I would follow her 'political exploits' through articles appearing in the Sac Bee. Proud to have known her. So sorry to read this morning of her passing. Condolences to her family and those who loved her. :(

I met Kathy and Jerry some forty plus years ago. They moved into a home down the court were I became friends she was a loving and kind person. I remember when she worked at channel 13 and when her and Jerry brought their two boys into to this world. So for that I will cherish the memories. May god bless the Lund Family.

Some years ago when my husband, Kevin, was working at the Lund residence, he called me to say the Lunds had a yellow Labrador retriever they were looking to find a home for. The next day we, along with our two young boys, went to see Kathy and meet Trigger. I'll always remember how Kathy opened the door to us and began to cry. She knew Trigger had found a new home, and our boys were overjoyed. I would occasionally send Kathy a photo of Trigger as he became such a loved member of our family, When the day came that we had to put Trig to sleep, I called Kathy to tell her. We both cried on the phone. She was a kind, special lady, and we know how much she will be missed. Our condolences to Jerry and the Lund family.

My heart and prayers go out to Jerry and the Lund family. Kathy was a close friend and an integral part of my childhood years--her family opened their home and hospitality to me, and I will always have fond memories of watching the Mousekateers, playing Monopoly, playing with dolls, and the angst and innocence of sharing our teen years together while attending La Sierra High School. We double dated and I remember Jerry & Kathy as a young, devoted, & loving couple, and rejoiced at their continuing love and commitment through 50 years of marriage. May she rest in peace with the Angels who are surely looking over her now.
