Kathleen Margaret "Kathy" Malone, 81, wife of John Joseph Malone for 58 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Mrs. Malone was born in Waterville, ME to the late Angus MacPherson MacDonald and Ineta May Armstrong MacDonald. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. Kathy was an alumnus of Chandler School for Women in Boston, MA and retired from the legal profession. She enjoyed crafts, flower arranging, cooking, sewing and making wreaths. However, her greatest joy came in being Grandma, Nana, and Nannie to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Heather Green, and Cara Nelson with husband John; a sister, Nancy Belvin; four grandchildren, Jonathan Youngblood, Alex Green with wife Samantha, Heather McGuire with husband Jason, and Jessica Nelson; six greatgrandchildren, Mason McGuire, Connor McGuire, Logan Green, Harper Green, Gracelyn McGuire, and Maverick McGuire; and a beloved cousin and caregiver, Pam Ferrari. She was predeceased by a son, Jonathan S. Malone; a son-in-law, David Green; and a brother-in-law, Tom Belvin.

Memorials in Kathy's honor may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607; or to the James Monroe Mission House, 401 S. Weston St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644; or to Hopewell United Methodist Church, Fostering Care Program, 1420 Neely Ferry Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
