Clock Funeral Home & Cremation Services - MuskegonBeloved father, partner, brother, and friend, Paul David Malone, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan. Born on January 13, 1969, in Macon, Mississippi to O.C. and Roxie (Rogers) Malone, Paul carried his Southern roots with him throughout his life-steady, loyal, and kind.
A proud graduate of Motley High School in Mississippi and a longtime member of Oakland Missionary Baptist Church in Crawford, Mississippi, Paul believed in hard work, faith, and family. Rooted in Mississippi, Paul met his partner, Doretta Flowers, while she was visiting family, and later moved north to be with her. Together, they shared twenty-nine years of companionship marked by love and commitment. For approximately 23 years, he was a trusted hand at Grand Haven Gasket, where he handled materials, cut parts, and stepped in wherever help was needed. Colleagues remember him as dependable and humble-"one of a kind," the person you could always count on.
Paul found joy in the simple things: cheering on University of Michigan football, walking the fields for rabbits and squirrels, turning wrenches under the hood, and studying karate for the challenge and discipline of it. He loved being with family and friends and had a gift for making people feel seen and supported.
He is survived by his partner of many years, Doretta Flowers; his children, Paul Malone Jr., Dieangelo Rice, and Octaivoos Hubbard; and his bonus daughter, Sheretta Flowers. He is also survived by his siblings Daniel Malone; Carl (Kathleen) Malone, Tommie Malone; Darlene Rogers, Deborah Bilbrew, Carol Malone; Angela Rogers; Paula (his twin) Malone; Marissa Wells; and Jaminaka Rogers; Several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.. He was preceded in death by loved ones whose names will be shared by the family.
Visitation will be held on April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Clock Funeral Home, 1469 Peck Street, Muskegon, MI. Burial will follow at Mona View Cemetery.
Please share stories and photos that capture his spirit-the laughter, the pride, and the love he gave so freely at www.clockfuneralhome.com.
