Ms. Kathy Moss, age 63, of Thomson, GA, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on Wednesday, February 21, 1962, at the former Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Inez Moss-Williby and Charlie Williby. A woman of enduring faith, she joined the Mount Aldred Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church in Warren County at an early age, establishing a spiritual foundation that guided her throughout her life.
Kathy was a proud 1980 graduate of Warren County High School. She dedicated over 30 years of service as an Assistant Store Manager at Circle K in Thomson, GA. Known for her comedic, jovial presence and soulful voice, she never met a stranger. She transformed her workplace into a community, blessing customers with contagious laughter and a personality that made everyone feel special. She embodied purpose through her tireless dedication and was truly driven by the smiles of those she encountered daily.
While Kathy did not have biological children, she was a devoted mother figure to all her nieces and nephews. She played a pivotal role in their upbringings and remained a constant, supportive presence in their adult lives. She never missed a milestone, always making the celebration of her loved ones her highest priority.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by four siblings: Melvin Moss, Nellie Wilburn, Vera Pinkston, and Johnny Robert Moss.
Her legacy of love and discipline remains with her surviving family: three sisters, Mary Ann Wiley of Thomson, GA, Shirley Moss (Johnny), and Brenda Martin (Berry), both of Warrenton, GA; three brothers, Bobby (Annelle) Moss of Atlanta, GA, Larry (Vanessa) Moss of Wrens, GA, and Michael (Joan) Moss of Warrenton, GA; an additional sister-in-law, Evelyn Moss of Warrenton, GA; one brother-in-law, Johnny Wilburn of Thomson, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
"Our dearest Kathy, there are no goodbyes for us, only a temporary separation until we meet again. Your departure is the hardest lesson, but it serves as a reminder of how lucky we were to have someone who made saying goodbye so hard. Rest easy, knowing you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
