MICHAEL MCNAIR Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomson Funeral System on Feb. 18, 2026.
MR. MICHAEL MCNAIR, age 62, of 3854 Allen Road, Dearing, GA passed on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM, Thomson, GA oversees all arrangements.

MR. MICHAEL "MIKE" MCNAIR was born on Monday, January 20, 1964, to Henry McNair, Sr. and Earlis Lorine Jackson McNair. Mike departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Affectionately known as "Wow Mouth," Mike grew up attending schools in the McDuffie County School System and later graduated from the Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Throughout his working years, Mike held various positions, including employment with Two State Construction. However, art was his true sanctuary. A self-taught watercolor artist, Mike saw the world through vibrant colors and delicate brushstrokes. With no formal training, he mastered the intricate beauty of watercolor painting through passion, patience, and dedication. His soul came alive on canvas, transforming blank pages into breathtaking scenes and portraits. His artwork stands as a lasting testament to his creativity and will remain a treasured gift to all who were blessed to receive it.

Mike also found joy in bringing people together. He loved to cook on the grill and was happiest when hosting family and friends. Whether it was a backyard gathering or a simple cookout, Mike took pride in feeding those he loved, sharing laughter, stories, and good food. Those moments of fellowship and togetherness will be remembered just as fondly as his artwork.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lorine McNair, and his sisters, Carolyn Jackson and Debra Jackson Pearson.

Left to cherish his earthly memories: his brother, Henry McNair, Jr.; sisters, Dr. Bernice McNair and Loretta Ejoba; a brother-in-law, Brandon Ejoba; honorary aunts, Catherine Moss and Vivian Kitchens; his companion, Connie Daniels; devoted nieces, Neishe Jackson and Petina McNair; and a host of additional nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished as his own; a plethora of cousins, other relatives and a many sorrowing friends.

"Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord."
