Kathy Reed, 74, of Bainbridge, formerly of Abbeville, AL, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The family will hold a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Adams officiating. Katherine Elaine Reed was born March 1, 1950, in Ohio, the daughter of Ashley & Devonia Boston Reed. After high school, she entered the working world where she became a workaholic. At one point, Kathy was the general manager of a McDonald's location and a Taco Bell location simultaneously. She was Baptist by faith.
An artist at heart, Kathy loved drawing, working with chalks, painting with pastels, all genres of music, and singing. She was an avid reader, allowing books to fill her mind with new ideas and faraway places. Kathy enjoyed camping and swimming as she took in the grandeur of the outdoors.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly Rose, Matt Rose (Jennifer), Heather Adams (Daniel), and Jeremy Adams (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Cassy, Heather, Ben, Noah, Maelynn, Rick, Eddie, Makalia, Derick, Donnie, and Courtney; and her great-grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Spencer, Syrena, Ashley, Austin, Alyssa, Zander, and Jasper. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by brothers, Gary Reed & Benny Reed.
