Kathy Richmond Roberts, 73, of Reidsville passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories during the service. The family will also receive friends at the home.
Kathy was born in Danville, VA to the late Billy Lee Richmond and Barbara Sparks Richmond. She was a kind and tenderhearted soul who never hesitated to help those in need. She had a special love for animals—always taking them in and making sure they were fed, even the wild ones. Brave and unapologetically she lived life on her own terms. Kathy was outgoing and friendly, striking up conversations with anyone she met, and making everyone feel like a friend. She loved cooking and feeding the whole neighborhood. She also loved going to the lake and mountains.
In addition to her father, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Charles Nelson Roberts. She is survived by her mother; her three daughters: Kara Payne (Brian), Nicole Sexton (Michael), and Emily Roberts (Brandie); her siblings: Diane, Kerry, Rodney, and Crystal; and her grandchildren: Benjamin, Murryn, Fiona, Hanna, and Will.
