Kathy passed away unexpectedly on June 27th, 2025. Kathy was born in Duluth Minnesota to Bob and Joan West. Kathy studied cosmetology and went on to be a cosmetologist in her early years then self-employed cleaner, she loved animals and won many sportsmanship shows with her German Shepards, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and being a grandma. Kathy cherished her time with her children, grandkids and husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Joan West.
She is survived by her husband Tom Rovinsky, sons Kyle Edberg, and Austin Edberg (Stephanie), stepdaughter Elizabeth Rovinsky grandchildren Aaliyah Edberg and Kingston Edberg, sister Linda Hakala, and nieces Denette Hakala and Elyzabeth Ohman, and many extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at 11AM at the Canosia Cemetery, Pike Lake, MN.
