In Loving Memory of Kathy Ordoñez Salinas

Sunrise – 12/21/1970 | Sunset – 7/18/2025

With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother , daughter, sister, and friend, Kathy Ordoñez Salinas. She was more than just a mother - she was the heart of our family, the quiet strength behind our smiles, and the light that guided us through every stage of life.

Kathy was a woman of unwavering selflessness, who poured her love into everyone around her. Whether family, friend, or stranger, she offered her kindness freely, always thinking of others before herself. Her door was always open, her heart even more so.

She loved her family with a deep, fierce passion. Every day was a fight she chose to face, just to stay with us a little longer - to see us grow, to cheer us on, and to remind us we were never alone. Her strength was unmatched, her faith unshakable, and her love, unconditional.

Kathy touched the lives of so many - not with grand gestures, but with the quiet, consistent acts of love that defined her life. A warm meal, a reassuring word, a helping hand - these were her gifts to the world.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in each life she touched, and especially in those of us who were lucky enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Friend.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Salinas, and her four loving children: Oscar Salinas Jr., Brenda Salinas, Wendy Salinas, and Sandy Salinas. She also leaves behind her devoted parents, Clemente Ignacio Ordoñez and Maria Irma Jaramillo Ordoñez, and her four beloved sisters:

• Irma Ordoñez Tavarez (Freddy) and their children, Emilio lll and Keyla

• Norma Ordoñez-Valencia (Joey) and their children, Jonathan, Zachary, and Genesis

• Cindy Ordoñez Arce (Jesse) and their daughter, Brianna

• Rebecca Ordoñez Ybarra (Randy) and their children, Isabelle, Daniel, Aaron, Austin, and Dominic.

She was a proud grandmother to Liam Barrueta and Zion White, the beloved sons of Brenda Salinas, and treasured as Kathy Salinas' grandchildren, each a shining light in her life.

Pallbearers will be: Freddy Tavarez, Joey Valencia, Jesse Arce, Randy Ybarra, Oscar Salinas Jr., and Emilio III Tavarez.

We will miss her every single day, but we will carry her with us - in how we love, how we care, and how we live.

Rest in paradise, Mami. Thank you for everything.
