Kathy Sexton, a beautiful soul who lit up every room she entered, went to be with the Lord and His angels on April 24, 2025. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on all who had the joy of knowing her.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, John Sexton; her loving daughter, Julie Byrum, and son-in-law Charles Byrum; her cherished son, Carter Sexton, and daughter-in-law Amy Sexton. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Sydney Sexton, Ryan Peacock and Alysa Abner, Levi Peacock, Chase Byrum, Wyatt Peacock, Whitney Peacock, Leevi Byrum, and Chloe Byrum. Her joy continued with her treasured great-granddaughter, Jeslyn Peacock.
She is also survived by her older brother, Dan Russo, and her younger sister, Jane Russo, and Jane’s husband, Ken Phillips—as well as her sweet and faithful dog, Susie, who brought her years of comfort and joy.
Kathy’s light, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Internment at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX. 75211. Date/Time to be determined.
