Kathy Faye Tagert, born on February 24, 1960, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her hometown on July 4, 2025. A devoted member of her community, Kathy dedicated more than 40 years of service to Tillman Furniture, where she was known for her hard work and commitment.
Her life was filled with love and family. Kathy is survived by her beloved mother, Margie Collins White, her children Amanda Freemyer, Mary Brookshire, and Cody Lack, and her cherished grandchildren: Kaitlyn Jones, Kylie Freemyer, Mylee Thornton, Myles Thornton, Miah Brookshire, Jessa Gomillion, and Elliot Lack. She is also survived by her siblings Elbert White, Peggy Taylor, Randy White, and Karen Rhodes.
Kathy's memory will be honored with a visitation at Bethel Baptist Church, located at 4000 Bethel Lane in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, on July 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same location beginning at 11:00 AM.
She was predeceased by her father, Wilbur White, and her daughter, Rebecca Faye "Bec" Tagert, whose memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Kathy's legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to family will remain with her loved ones forever.
