Kathy Wiggins, age 78, of Belmont, North Carolina, passed away on January 3, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 23, 1947, Kathy was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, James Norman Wiggins Sr. and Verna Wiggins, and her sister, Gloria Wilcox.
She is survived by her brother, James Norman Wiggins Jr., and his wife Karla; and her cherished nieces, Dawn Salerno and husband Russ, and daughter Kaity, Cindy Diaz and husband Ricardo of Florida, Kristen Wiggins, and Chrissy Gunnon. Kathy was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for the care, warmth, and love she shared so freely.
A service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Rev. Phil Meadows will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I´ve known Kathy for a long time. We went to high school together and have attended church together for years. She was a beautiful person who loved the Lord and her family. She will be truly missed by all. Jim and I offer our condolences to the family. Our prayers are with you.
