Katie Mae Edenfield Butler, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Dublin, GA, at the age of 91. Born on September 4, 1934, in Wayne County, GA, Katie was a beacon of love and faith throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Katie was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Charles Vernon Butler; her loving parents, Calvin and Alma Edenfield, and her siblings, LC, Louise, Margaret, Willow Dean, Edward "Bo," and Marlene Edenfield and two daughters-in law, Georga Butler and Trisha Butler.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her cherished children, Patricia "Patty" Butler, Charles C. "Buddy" Butler (Karen), Forrest Butler, and Jay Butler (Barbara). Her grandchildren, Josh Wright (Casey), Katie Wright, Daniel Butler (Brittney), Kyle Brookins (Josh), Amber Yascavage, and Charles "CJ" Butler, along with her 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Katie's work ethic was as strong as her spirit. She dedicated 29 years of service to JP Stevens/Forstman & Co., where she retired. Her commitment to her community was evident through her involvement with the American Legion Post 17 Women's Auxiliary and her membership at the former Springdale Baptist Church. Katie's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength to her and those around her.

A woman of many talents, Katie's passion for gardening and cooking brought joy to her family and friends. Her biscuits were legendary, and her thin layer chocolate cake was a cherished treat at family gatherings. Katie's grandchildren were the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them.

Katie's life was a testament to the virtues of love, faith, and selflessness. Her unwavering support and nurturing nature were the foundation upon which her family thrived.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Wilkes will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Monday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Wright, Daniel Butler, Josh Brookins, CJ Butler, Cliff Butler, and Rick Layfield.
