Katrina Ann Griffeth “Katie”, 52, of Danielsville, GA laid down her earthly body and entered her eternal home on Friday, June 21, 2024, where she will never experience pain or sorrow again. She leaves behind her husband and soul mate of almost 25 years Joe Griffeth; two beautiful daughters, Kristen Carvajal (Jose) of Hiawassee, GA, and Samantha Gable (Taylor) of Nicholson, GA. One granddaughter who was the absolute apple of her eye, Aura Sara Ann Carvajal. Her loving parents, Michael and Patricia Horton of Hiawassee, GA, a brother, Russell Day (Pamela) of Spartanburg, SC, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends (both two and four-legged) who will be lost without her in the days to come. Katie has worked for Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS) since it opened its doors in 2001. Receiving of friends will be held at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home located at 678 N Main St Hiawassee, GA on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a service at 1:00 PM followed by burial at Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens located at 2615 Hwy 17 Young Harris, GA.
We do not mourn for her, but for those she left behind.
