Katie Lou "Harp" Lemons

Katie Lou (Harp) Lemons, 86-year-old Vinita resident, passed away peacefully early Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Muskogee. She was born on March 18, 1939, in Vinita to Kenneth S. and Leora (Scarbrough) Harp. Katie was a 1957 graduate of Vinita High School.

Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Sensenbaugh Harp, and Leora Francis Scarborough Harp; and two infant brothers Lewis Harp and Jerry Harp.

The family includes her son Timothy Joe Meeker and wife Penny of Smithville, Missouri; granddaughters, Carol J. Justice of Tucson, Arizona and Ashley N. Darby and husband Jason of Kansas City, Missouri; great granddaughters, Kaylee N. Justice, Madalyn R. Darby, and Jocelyn R. Darby; brother, James T. Harp of Denison, Texas, sister, Joan Harp Langston of Vinita; several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
