Katie Mueller, 64, passed away in her home on October 28th, surrounded by her family and friends, after a drawn-out battle with metastatic breast cancer. Never one to back down, she maintained a fierce grip, bright eyes, and a slight smile til the end.
Katie was born in Greeley Colorado on March 16th, 1960, to Donald C McCreery Jr. and Lee Ann McCreery (Clem). Family legend states that she was due on St. Patrick's Day but was induced earlier due to her family's staunch Scottish heritage. Katie grew up mostly in the "Arrowhead House" south of Greeley, and had many hobbies including piano and horseback riding. But Katie's greatest love was music. She cherished her record collection, CDs too, and made countless mix tapes for those she loved.
After many years of experience with the family business, McCreery & Sun, Katie graduated Aims Community College with an AA degree in business administration and was a bookkeeper and office manager for most of her life. She helped businesses of all sizes with her keen eye for detail and organization skills. Later, she trained to be a Natural Foods Chef to help people with severe food allergies learn to cook for themselves (something she had long struggled with).
Katie is survived by her daughter, Jen Littlefield, and son, Mason Mueller.
She was a bright spot in so many people's lives and will be missed.
We love you, mom.
