Katrina Rae Brown, 45, of Columbus, passed away at 6:44 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at her residence.

Born January 26, 1981, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Paul Reed and Patricia Orosco. She married Charles Brown in Pikeville, Kentucky in 2012; he survives.

Katrina graduated from Lake Worth Community High School in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. She was a homemaker and housewife who enjoyed bowling, collecting Spaniard Dolls and Hello Kitty, drawing, and playing the claw machines. Katrina loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Brown of North Vernon; daughters, Aiyana Orosco and Tyyana Brown, both of North Vernon; brothers, Christian Simmons of Bedford and Jason Reed of Mitchell; sisters, Monica Reed of Clarksville, Tennessee, Tyce (Charles) Kinman and Hesper (Cody) Orosco, both of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Sally Brown, Sandra Layne, Susan Habern and Selina Brown, all of Pikeville, Ohio, and Sharon Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Katrina will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the family and Rev. Sandra Layne officiating. The visitation with family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Katrina for help with funeral expenses.
