Kay Flowers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home - Fairlawn on Sep. 26, 2025.
Kay Elizabeth (Fauss) Flowers, 75, of Summerfield, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on September 23, 2025. She was born February 9, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Glenn and Donza Fauss. After graduating from Cloverleaf High in Lodi, Ohio, she attended Prairie Bible College in Alberta, Canada, earning a diploma in Bible studies. Later she attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and graduated with a bachelor's degree in art and a master's degree in early childhood education.

She loved life, she loved Jesus, she loved horses and she hated ironing. A life-long learner, she held jobs in Ohio, Florida, Tennessee, and Arizona as an art teacher, workbook illustrator, preschool director, and reference librarian. She met her husband, Denny, at a storytelling event and together they wrote and performed stories for many years. Along with Denny, she became a certified reflexologist and worked with the healing arts of homeopathy and herbs. Interested in anything equine, they owned and boarded horses and were involved with horse training and equine massage. Kay attended the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell, Ohio, and taught children's church for many years. She enjoyed artwork, reading, gardening, music, researching, writing, and growing medicinal herbs. She authored three books and edited several others for friends.

Awaiting her arrival in heaven were her parents, Glenn and Donza Fauss of Seville, Ohio, and brother, Steve Fauss of Page, Arizona, along with many relatives and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Denny Flowers, whom she deeply loved; sister, Jan (Al) Miracle of Seville, Ohio; brother, Dave (Natalea) Fauss of Buckeye, Arizona; brother, Marty (Kelly) Fauss of Buckeye, Arizona; plus many Ohio and Arizona nieces and nephews and their children.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10:30am at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd Fairlawn, OH 44333.Come and celebrate her life with laughter and memories to share. What is left is only the shell; the nut is gone.

I am sorry for your loss, the world will miss Kay. She gave me a chance and taught me alot at First United Methodist Church Child Development Center. Her words of wisdom and uplifting message I have remembered all through my life. I went on to own my own Child Care Center and helped alot of Children for well over 20 years. I should have reached out sooner. But life always seems to get in the way. I will see her again. RIP..Kay til we meet again. Thank you for all you have done for this world, and for the children you came in contact with. We all are better people because of you.
