Kay Lynn Massey, 79, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1946, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to Oliney and Lucille Cunningham.
Kay lived most of her life in Trumann and Jonesboro. She was of the Baptist faith and lived a life marked by dedication and quiet strength. She worked as the business manager at the Florida State Penitentiary, where she was known for her strong work ethic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ron Massey; her brother, Gerald Cunningham; her stepfather, J.D. Stacy; and her special pets, Nixi and Heidi, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
Kay is survived by her special cousin, Barbara Moon, who was like a sister to her; her sister-in-law, Linda Cunningham; her special friends and classmates from the Trumann High School Class of 1964; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her special caregivers, Nichole and Sharon, whose care and kindness were deeply appreciated.
A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NEA Humane Society or a charity of choice.
