Kay (Carol) Roth, age 76 of Fairborn passed away February 10, 2026, in Columbus. She was born March 1, 1949, in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Evert and Betty (Mehaffie) Hissong.
A devoted member of the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church, Kay was deeply involved in the church's Bible study group, where she formed lifelong friendships and shared her passion for uplifting conversations grounded in her Christian beliefs. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her interactions and the love she shared with her family and friends.
Kay enjoyed the arts, frequently attending Broadway and La Comedia dinner shows. She also cherished quiet moments spent engrossed in Christian literature, reflecting her dedication to her faith and personal growth.
She leaves behind her two sons, David (Julie) Roth and Jason Roth; two granddaughters, Kylie and Kacey; two sisters, Connie (Dale) Spahr and Peggy (Charlie) Didier, along with extended relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Kay's life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church, located at 326 East Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn, Ohio. This will be followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Abiding Christ in memory of Kay.
