Kay A. Wood, 88, of Cassville, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Dove Healthcare, Fennimore, Wisconsin. Per Kay's wishes there will be no formal services. Burial will be at the Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, Wisconsin, at a later date. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Kay was born on June 6, 1937, in Cassville, the daughter of Cecil and Grace (Knotwell) Schnorrenberg. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Keith E. Wood, on March 2, 1957, in Cassville.

Kay graduated from Cassville High School and for many years she worked at Okey's Market, Cassville. Kay was always active in her life by either enjoying a good crossword, a hard puzzle, baking for friends and family, being an avid reader, or going for walks all over town. Kay loved summer get togethers with family and friends, especially her "Thirsty Thursday's" on the patio with her great friend, Barb Willis.

Kay is survived by her three children, Scott (Robin) Wood of Paducah, KY, Michael Wood of Tampa, FL, and Missy (Jamie) Pitzen of Platteville; four grandchildren, Samantha, Sara, Kaylen, and Sierra; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ashton, Briggs, and Brielle; sisters, Donna, Diane, Gail, Linda and Janet; brother, John. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, her parents, and brother, David.

The family would like to give a "Huge Thankyou" to the staff of Dove Healthcare for the wonderful love and care they gave to Kay. They truly are the best. Also a special acknowledgement to St. Croix Hospice for the help they provided in the final weeks.
