Dunn, NC: Mrs. Kaye Tart Capps, age 73, of Magnolia Lane passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be-2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Beulah Baptist Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Campbell and David Norris, II. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Capps was born on March 9, 1951 in Harnett County to the late Lofton and Joyce Mae Norris Tart. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raeford Tart. Prior to retirement, she was a hairdresser. She loved Jesus, gospel music, crocheting, reading her bible, and spending time with her family, especially her sisters, Faye, Carol, Janice, and Jenny.
Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Linwood Capps; daughter, Michelle Braswell and husband, Allen; son, Darrell Capps and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Cameron Bryant, Natalie Capps, Ethan Capps, and Hudson Capps; step-grandsons, Bradley Brown and Braden Brown; twin sister, Faye Norris and sisters, Carol Jernigan, Janice Beasley, and Jenny O’Brian; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Beulah Baptist Church located at 3140 NC-242, Benson, NC 27504.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at SECU Hospice House for the loving care they have given to Mrs. Capps.
