It is with deep love and immense sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved Kayla [Scull] Daniel, 27, who left us far too soon on February 8th, 2026, after a courageous and arduous battle with Leukemia, of which she fought with wholehearted strength and determination.
Kayla was born in
Stoneham, Massachusetts, on January 6th, 1999 to Amie Dumont and Edward T. Scull III. She graduated from Salem High School and completed her degree in Dental assisting at New Hampshire Technical Institute. She had a passion for dental care and had the brightest smile to prove it. She moved to Georgia and met the love of her life, her husband Tyrek Daniel, whom she married in January of 2022. They moved to Camp Pendleton, California that year and spent three years enjoying the start of their life together. Kayla had a passion for weight lifting, which she loved doing with her husband, always impressing those of us who saw her hard work and excitement when hitting new personal records.
On April 6th, 2025, Kayla gave birth to their first son, Quincy Daniel. Kayla was one of the most devoted, prepared, and excited mommy-to-be's and she absolutely adored being a mother. Kayla fearlessly fought every day with strength, enthusiasm, and awe-inspiring positivity for her son and cherished every moment with him.
Kayla was a resilient, fearless, radiant human being, known especially for her infectious laughter and vibrant spirit. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and friend who brought light, laughter and unwavering optimism into every room. She was a beacon of strength and grace to all who knew her, inspiring us all to live life with a glass-half-full mentality and to always find a moment to laugh. Although her time on earth was far too short, she really made the most of every single day and made such a positive
impact on so many in such a short time. From cliff diving to spontaneously skydiving, Kayla truly embodied the definition of living life to the fullest by taking risks, living in the moment, and remaining fearless, light- hearted, and positive no matter what life threw her way.

Scull III, her grandmother Susan Hustler, her aunt Dawn Dumont, her older sister, Ashley Short, her two younger brothers Edward Scull and Joey Scull, her step mother, Jennifer Scull, and an extensive community of family and friends that span across the country, who loved her dearly.
