Kayla M. Garrett

Kayla M. Garrett, 20, of Hamden, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Bridgeport on January 12, 2005, and was the daughter of Leigh White and Phil Amato. Kayla enjoyed simply driving around in her car and listening to music whether by herself or with friends or family. Sister of Cameron Amato and Will Wright. Granddaughter of Charmaine Slater and Greg Amato. Niece of Haley Wright, Jarrod White and Bryan Amato. Also survived by the Wright family and many family members in South Africa.
The visiting hours will be on Monday, November 24th from 4 to 7 PM in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Paul VI Parsh at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden for a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday morning, November 25th at 10:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
