Keaton Ray Payne, 7, of 2641 Wisteria Gardens, Owensboro formerly of Knottsville died Friday May 4, 2001 at his home. The son of Jacinta Cindy Mattingly Payne, of Owensboro and Kevin Payne, of Knottsville, he was born December 30, 1993 in Daviess County, Kentucky.

He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church. He attended pre-school at both Highland Elementary and Country Heights. He loved tractors, cows and loved to walk with his Grandpa.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Thelma Mattingly of Knottsville; paternal grandmother, Joan Payne of Knottsville; maternal great-grandmother, Charlesetta Pence of Knottsville; paternal great-grandparents, Jim and Helen Payne of Knottsville; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 and Sunday, May 6, 2001 after 12:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday. His funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Saint William Catholic Church officiated by Father Mary Hayes and Father Eric Riley. Burial will follow in Saint William Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Battens Disease Support & Research Association, 120 Humphries Drive Suite 2, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
