Keaton Von Der Ehe Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah on Dec. 8, 2025.
Keaton Paul von der Ehe, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was born on February 4, 2006, at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
In his younger years, Keaton was very involved in his church and the Royal Rangers. He later began working at Culver's, where he stayed throughout high school. After graduating from Tomah High School in 2024, he went on to attend St. Norbert College in Green Bay, where he had the opportunity to play football-a sport he truly loved. During the summers, he worked at the Cranberry Marsh and at Universal Forest Products.
Throughout his life, Keaton formed genuine, meaningful connections with so many friends, coaches, coworkers, teachers, mentors, and family members. He was a deeply loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin.
Keaton had a way of lighting up any room with his bright, infectious smile. He was always the life of the party-energetic, outgoing, and passionate about every sport. He cared for his family and friends unconditionally. He cherished the time and memories he made with his family in Mississippi. Even when he climbed to the highest branches and leapt into the river-scaring us all in the process-he was absolutely fearless, and he loved every second of it. Simply being around Keaton made people feel good; he had a rare gift for bringing joy and comfort to others. He dreamed big and was excited for all that the future might hold.
Keaton's greatest joys in life included football, basketball, gaming, pole vaulting, golfing, hunting, fishing, and going to races with his father. Keaton shared an incredibly special bond with his father, Jon-one unlike any other. Jon was the steady, constant presence in Keaton's life, and the time they spent together brought Keaton genuine happiness.
He is survived by his parents, Jonathan (Pamela) von der Ehe and Katie (Brett) Martyniuk; his brothers, Braden (Tasha) Taylor, Drew (Kayla) Evans, and Kyle (Katie Ann) Evans; his sister, Shelby Taylor; his dogs, Tucker and Emma; his grandparents, Kathy von der Ehe and Charles Taylor; nephews, Brayden, Lincoln, and Oliver; his nieces, Kinley, Adaline, Ruby, Gabby, and Paisley; special aunts and uncles, Beth (Jared) Lehman, Rachel von der Ehe, Amber (Nathan) Futch, Trae (Darlene) Taylor, and Michael Taylor; cousins, Javan, Josiah, Roman, Isaiah, Bonnie, Hannah and Sarah; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph von der Ehe; nephew, Gabriel Evans; and grandmother, Audrey Taylor.
Keaton was taken from us far too soon, long before we were ready to say goodbye. He had Jesus instilled in his heart and has gone to see his heavenly Father and we have the hope we will see him again someday.
