Walter Von Der Ehe Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Walter von der Ehe announces his passing into eternal life. Walter began his earthly life in Woodstock, Illinois to parents Carl and Frances von der Ehe, he graduated from high school in Wisconsin Rapids. After graduation, Walter spent most of his career at GE Medical Systems, retiring after 32 years. He married Laura Himebauch in Fairchild, Wisconsin. They were married for 24 years. Walter was previously married to Rebecca Nehs and they had a child Gretchen.
Walter is survived by his wife Laura, daughter, Gretchen (Steve) Roblee; 4 grandchildren, Liesl Roblee, Cecelia (Parker) Annan, Whitney Roblee and William Roblee; brother, Erwin (Krista) von der Ehe; and a sister, Martha (Dave) Mann, he is further survived by several in-laws and by many nieces and nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ralph von der Ehe.
Walter enjoyed collecting antique tractors and firearms, he also enjoyed 4 wheeling. His happiest times were spent with his family. Walter also enjoyed spending time with The River Cities Christian Church, which he also called his family. Walter will be missed by many friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at The River Cities Christian Church, withe Reverend Scott Kaczorowski presiding. visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the services at the church.
