Keegan Eliam Sarrazin-Jarvis

Keegan Eliam Sarrazin-Jarvis, 17 was born on May 4, 2007, to BJ Sarrazin and John Jarvis.

Keegan was a graduating senior at Shields Valley High School. His favorite colors were red white and blue. He loved to go fishing, play baseball, build boxes for his mom, play games with family and friends as well as driving around the yard on the four wheeler or lawn mower. He was always about the thrill in life.

 “Pa” nicknamed Keegan “Twister” just a few months after he was born. A short hand nod to the Tasmanian Devil. Always spinning in chaos everywhere his little moccasins would take him. Twister shortly turned into Bam Bam from the Flintstones. O he went with his plastic baseball bat, hitting everything in site including Kaii. The first time he threw a ball was when Grandma Toots gave him a mini baseball set. Of course, it landed square on his sisters head which had Keegan in stitches. From that day on, the gears never stopped turning. No one was safe from Keegans laughter seeking schemes, but especially not Kaii! Keegan was such a creative, intelligent, kind, hardworking kid. Since he could talk, he was always telling elaborate tall tales. A busy 3 year old fighting o bears and saving his family! He was so detailed and meticulous in his stories. All you needed to do was add an encouraging idea and he ran o with it. He loved walking with his Uncle John around town. He couldn’t wait to tell him about all of his adventures and how many bears he got. Everywhere Uncle John went, Keegan was there with him. Helping him tinker around Carol’s house or hiding behind bushes. A beautiful bond throughout his life, he enjoyed each and every visit from Uncle John and Aunt Deb.

There was never a dull moment with Keegan around. Starting fires and putting them out, literally and figuratively. Always challenging Kaii as to who was stronger, faster, smarter or could lift the most weights. Keegan would say he was undefeated, Kaii disagreed. He was the toughest kid with a pain tolerance that would rival the most seasoned ranchers around.

Keegan had a heart of gold. Never wanting to disappoint anyone and always ready to help. He really enjoyed taking his Aunt Betty to church every Sunday and never once said no when his sister asked him to “help” build something. One of his favorite past times was tossing the football and baseball in the yard with his mom.

A sniper with pinecones, snowballs and baseballs. An ace on the mound! The bravest bear fighter, the longest football pass, and the best box builder. The Twister of the Shields - our son, brother, nephew, grandson, boyfriend and best friend. Blue eyes and blonde hair-our biggest heartbreak and greatest loss.

Keegan very much enjoyed his time with friends especially Kyle. They would talk for hours, play video games, fished and joked around endlessly. True kindred spirits!

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Sarrazin, Grandmother Mary (Toots) Sarrazin, Uncle Jim VanderVoort.

Keegan is survived by his Ma, BJ Sarrazin;  Father, John Jarvis; Sister, Jade Sarrazin (Sam Forstenzer); brother Kaii Sarrazi -Jarvis; Uncle's, John VanderVoort (Deb) and Charley VanderVoort (Robin) along with numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Services will be on Friday October 11th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Shields Valley Community Center in Clyde Park. This is a potluck. Please bring a dish to share.
