Keith Everett Acre Jr. "Brother" of Otter Lake, a man of loving spirit and adventurous heart, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 65. Born on February 14, 1960, in Lapeer, Michigan, Keith's life was a testament to the courage and warmth he carried within him, touching the lives of all who knew him.
Keith's early years laid the foundation for a life filled with joy, challenges met with bravery. He carried these values throughout his life, creating a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by his family and friends.
Keith's pride and joy were his children, Darcie (Jeremy), Keith III (Laura), Michael, and Douglas, as well as his three stepchildren, whom he embraced with open arms. His love extended to his six grandchildren, Abigail, Julianna, Katelynn, Keith IV, Nathan, and Zackary each of whom brought a unique light into his life. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who adored him.
A beloved brother to: Donna (Thomas) Korula, Lura (John) Encinas, and Josephine Hudson. Each sibling relationship was special, filled with shared laughter and unwavering support. His life was also graced by the presence of his companion, Dorothy Shelton, whose memory he held dear following her passing.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Keith Sr. and Susan, his stepfather Jim Bunch, and his sister Kay. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping the man Keith became, and their influence will live on through the values he instilled in his own family.
An avid fan of NASCAR Racing, Brother found excitement and camaraderie in the roar of the engines and the thrill of the race. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of watching the birds, a simple pleasure that brought him peace and a sense of connection to the natural world.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Keith's Life will be held at later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Share condolences, pictures, and stories with the family online at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
