Keith Apsley, 75, passed away December 27, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born March 28, 1948 in Liberal, the son of Elmer and Violet (Pennington) Apsley.
Keith lived in Liberal until moving to Plains, Kansas in 2019. He attended the Liberal schools, graduating from Liberal High School in 1966. He received a Bachelor of Science in Education in January 1972 at the University of Kansas, Lawrence Kansas.
He attended the Pershing Avenue Christian Church in Liberal Kansas, with his family.
Keith took over his Father's business, Elmer's Appliance Electric Service after his Dad's failing health in the early 1980's.
He was interested in photography, reading, attending various city events and spending time at the Liberal Memorial Library.
Survivors include first cousins: David Apsley, Satanta, Kansas; Robert Apsley, Macon Georgia; Edith Pennington, Ellsworth Kansas, several 2nd & 3rd cousins, and many thoughtful caring friends. His neighbors on Prospect Ave spoke of him as a very thoughtful and honored man.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters, Linda Sue Apsley, Anita Apsley McVey, Brother-in-law, Raymond McVey, Grandparents, George Clyde and Hattie (Fuller) Apsley and William and Byrdie (Horn Franklin) Pennington.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 11:00 am, Liberal City Cemetery, 1900 West 15th St, Liberal, Kansas.
A memorial fund is set up at the Liberal Memorial Library, 519 N. Kansas Ave. Liberal, Kansas 67901.
