Keith R. Bliss was born December 22, 1937 in Iola, Kansas the son of Wayne and Esther (Laymon) Bliss. He passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Enterprise Estates Nursing Home.

Keith grew up in the Iola area graduating in 1955 from Elsmore High School and attended Kansas State University. Through his involvement in 4-H, Keith early on demonstrated an avid interest in ham radios, electronics and technology. He then developed a passion for trucking, serving as a driver and trainer for Swift trucking Company in his later years. He was also a member of the James R. Cutler American Legion Post #39 in Abilene.

He is survived by his sons Richard Bliss and Phillip "Tim" and his wife Diane Bliss of Enterprise, sister Betty Jo Melcher of Newton, niece, one great nephew, eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sandy, brother-in-law Elvin Melcher, niece and her husband, a great nephew, a granddaughter, and a great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Abilene with Pastor Jason Kohler officiating. His final resting place will be in the Highland Cemetery at Iola at a later date. The family will greet friends from 9:00 A.M., until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the James R. Cutler American Legion Post #39 and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
