Keith Calvin “Booger” Bouknight, 59, of Prosperity, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at MUSC-Charleston.
Born on August 1, 1962, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Kathleen Bouknight. He had been a factory worker and was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. Keith was a spiritual man who believed in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was strong in his faith and shared devotions almost daily. Keith never met a stranger and loved everyone he met regardless of color, religion, or social status. Keith loved his family very deeply. He believed in hard work and had to work for everything he had but he never complained about work. He prided himself on being a good employee and provider for his family. Keith was a warrior. He fought through all of his surgeries and illnesses and never lost his faith. After being placed on disability he still worked around the house. He started walking daily from 3 to 10 miles a day and was so happy to walk with his buddy Ace. Keith was just an amazing person with an infectious smile and personality. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Bouknight is survived by his wife, Angela Son Bouknight after 10 years of marriage; sons, Shane Michael Bouknight and Nathan Day and daughters, Marci Sierra Bouknight and Bethany Noel Day.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Hundley. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
