Pamela Bouknight Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by David W. Barnes Funeral Home on Nov. 29, 2025.
Pamela Renee Bouknight, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Robert J. Dole V. A. Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on July 22, 1965 in San Bernardino, California, to Bobby Joe and Mary Sue (Collins) Oldham. She was #6 of 7 children. Pamela grew up in Lompoc, California where she graduated from Lompoc Senior High School in 1983. Shortly thereafter in 1984, Pamela enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in Texas. Pamela would serve proudly for the next 8 years. Eventually Pam would move to the state of Mississippi where she lived for many years. After her mother and several siblings relocated to Coffeyville, KS, Pamela followed suit in the Winter of 2009. For many years, she dedicated herself to her work as Patrol Officer V for Allied Universal at CVR refinery, a role she undertook with great diligence and commitment as her co-workers and superiors would attest.

Pamela was a woman of great energy and spirit. She was involved in competitive athletics beginning in the 6th grade, enjoyed playing softball and was extremely talented, as well as a member of the madrigal singers with an amazing voice. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys which created many laughs and banter between her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. However, what mattered the most to Pamela was her family and her beloved dog Dallas. She was a loyal sister, aunt, cousin and friend, who brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around her. She was a ray of sunshine with her infectious laughter and her heart full of love. Although Pamela would not have children herself, her amazing role as an aunt and great aunt kept her busy, no one was better at that role than her.

Pamela is survived by her siblings Deborah Gaither (#1) & husband Gary, Robert Oldham (#4) & wife Olivia, Tracy Jackson (#5) and Rhonda Sutherland (#7) & husband Johnny and plenty of Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews and Nieces, all of which had a close relationship with her. In addition to step-brothers and step-sister Shawna Cron & husband Dennis of Coffeyville. Pamela was that family member that kept in contact with everyone. She had a very special relationship with cousins and other extended family as well including a very special bond with Cousin Steven Reeves. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Oldham and Mary Oldham Lane, her brother Kelly Oldham, and her sister Vicki Ashmore, her Nephews Robbie Day, Justin Oldham and Mickey Oldham and Niece Melissa Day, as well as several brother & sister in-laws and step-parents, including Jack Lane of Coffeyville. Pamela was not just an amazing, daughter, sister and aunt, she was a true friend to many, and her friendships lasted for decades. The family would like to express our appreciation to two very special friends in her life, we call them her chosen sisters. Joyce Snyder of 38 years who met Pamela in Beeville Texas and Jackie Kitterman of 16 years who met Pamela in Coffeyville KS. We thank you for your amazing friendship through thick and thin to the end.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road in Coffeyville.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God, 1504 West 8th Street in Coffeyville with Pastor Randy DePriest officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20.

Following the services, the family would like to invite those close friends and co-workers that knew Pamela well to join us in a celebration at Cedar Bluff Camp, 4707 CR 2475 in Coffeyville from 2-7pm. Pamela had a heart for those in need so we will be collecting donations of blankets, gloves, handwarmers, anything to help the homeless and we will donate them to the Coffeyville Warming Center. Monetary donations are welcome as well. If you would like to join us, please bring a side dish, dessert or drink, this would be appreciated but not a requirement. To keep Pamela's bantering spirit alive, you may wear your Dallas Cowboy or your chosen team attire, jeans welcome. We know Pam would love that!

We invite those who knew and loved Pamela to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page at www.dwbfh.com.
