Keith Bymers, 82, of Oakes, ND passed away September 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of HIA Hospice.

Keith James Bymers was born in Aberdeen, SD on November 26, 1942 to the late Keith Bymers and Shirley (Courtney) Bymers. He lived on the Courtney farm in Guelph, ND until 1947 when Shirley married Leo German. He was educated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School through the 2nd grade and finished his education at Guelph School, graduating in 1960. He entered the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served 3 years. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to California.

He married Sue Stockwell and to this union Kelly Jo and Peter were born. Keith later married Debra Sue and they became parents of Casey and Cody. After graduating from UND EB, he taught building trades in San Jose, CA; Orville, CA; SEAVC in Oakes, ND and in Newtown, ND. He was an excellent carpenter. When asked what he does for a living he would say, "I make sawdust". Keith married Cristina Cuartero of the Philippines in 2019, and instantly became a dad to Adam.

He is survived by his wife, Cristina; children: Kelly Jo (Charlie) Grassl, Peter (Kimberly) Bymers, Casey (Derrick) Miller, Cody (Taylor) Bymers and Adam; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon (Harvey) Waletzko of NYC and Jeanne (Larry) Thorpe of Oakes and his brother, Mick (Judy) German of Oakes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brothers, Joseph and Jay.

A time of sharing will be held on September 30, 2025 at 9:00 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Oakes. Burial will be at Ellendale City Cemetery near Ellendale. An online guestbook may be signed here.
