Keith Morris Cronin passed away peacefully in Ontario on Oct. 19, 2024.
Keith was born in Prairie City on Aug. 25, 1942, to Thelma and Clarence Cronin. He was the youngest of five children, joining three brothers and one sister, and grew up in Drewsey. At the age of 18, he went into the Navy where he served for four years.
In July of 1964, Keith married the love of his life, Mary Ruby Robirts, who brought with her a son, Frank Lawrence, born in 1963. They quickly settled in as a family of three and in July of 1965 they welcomed a daughter, Jodi Rae. In February of 1969, the completed their family with another son, Justin Keith. Together they built a beautiful life.
Keith was a hard worker, spending many of his years behind the windshield of a truck. He started for Brooks Scanlon Logging Company in 1968, and spent the next 25 years hauling logs for Brooks Scanlon and many other gyppo logging companies. After the mill shut down, Keith found other work with various companies until he finally retired in 2004. This allowed him more time to do what he loved; hunting, fishing, tending to his yard and garden and spending time with family.
Keith is survived by his wife, Mary; brothers, Paul and Stanley (Nancy) Cronin; children, Frank (Debbie) Cronin, Jodi (Ronnie) Berry and Justin Cronin grandchildren, Cody, Mandy, Jamie, Jacob, Jolene, Cotie and Kaitlyn; and many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Clarence; sister, Barbera (Tuttle) Cronin; and brother, Gary Cronin.
The family would like to thank Sunset Estates in Ontario for the friendship and amazing support and care in Keith's final days.
At Keith's request, there will be no services.
