Keith Vincent DeCarlo

Keith Vincent DeCarlo, 70, passed away peacefully at Spring Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New Providence, where he had resided for the past 5 years.

Keith was born in Jersey City to the late Vincent and Loretta DeCarlo. He grew up in North Bergen and attended North Bergen High School. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Puget Sound before being honorably discharged in 1977.

Keith worked for many years with the North Bergen USPS as a letter carrier prior to retirement. He was a devout Catholic who donated generously-often all he had-to organizations supporting veterans, children, families, and animals.

Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kathleen Shelus and her husband, Peter of Fanwood; his nephew and nieces, Peter Shelus (Jessica), Victoria Shelus (David), and Kimberly Shelus; and great niece and nephews, Allison, Peter, Lucas, and Dylan.

Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood on Friday, March 13th from 10-11AM . Mass will be held at the Church of the Little Flower in Berkeley Heights on Friday, March 13th at 11:30AM. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery on Monday March 16th at 1PM.
