Alan Wray DeCarlo, age 66, of Valdosta, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 30, 1959, to the late Dominick DeCarlo and Mary Ann Webb DeCarlo, Alan grew up in Valdosta and graduated from Valdosta High School in 1977, where he was a proud member of “The Marching Cats”. He worked as an inventory specialist at Truss Joist and later at Bray Truss.
Alan is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cynthia DeCarlo, his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Lee Jones, and his cherished grandchild, Taylor Wray Jones, all of Valdosta. He is also survived by his siblings Don and Terri DeCarlo of Quitman, GA; Nancy and Fred Vollbeer of Dahlonega, GA; Linda DeCarlo of Valdosta, GA; and Jimmy and Joy DeCarlo of Rockford, IL, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janet DeCarlo McCord.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Society or the American Cancer Society.
